Each year, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society provides an opportunity for its members to showcase their work online. Members have a chance to sell their work and to compete for 15 cash prize awards.
2026 ONLINE MEMBERS SHOW CALENDAR
January 12, 2026 - Open for submissions
February 16, 2026 - Deadline for entries at 11:59 EST
Week of February 23-27, 2026 - Award notifications (via email)
March 1, 2026 - Members Show posted on the pawcs.com website. Show will remain active on the PWS website indefinitely. Your artwork may be entered in other shows at the same time as our show since this is considered a “showcase” and will remain up indefinitely.
AWARDS
There will be 15 Awards given:
ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS
All work must be original paintings, hand-created, entirely the work of the entrant, and free from any copyright infringement. Works must be watermedia paintings on natural or synthetic paper; canvas is not permitted. Source material must be the artist’s own design or original photograph. Class or workshop paintings are not eligible.
Entries must have been completed within the past three years (January 2023 or later) and must not have been previously accepted in any PWS exhibition, including the online PWS Members Show.
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee is $10 per artist, for a maximum of two paintings.
ELIGIBILITY
Entrants must be a PWS regular, signature, or life member with 2025 dues paid. To check your membership standing, you may log into the www.pawcs.com website and click on your profile in the upper right corner.
PREPARE YOUR IMAGE
Take the best photo of your painting – cropped to show ONLY the painting without mat or frame.
File Type: JPEG or JPG only.
File Dimensions: Size your JPEG or JPG to be at least 1200 pixels on the longest side.
File Size: Max 5 MB.
ENTRY SUBMISSION
Submit artwork via www.CallforEntry.org (CaFÉ)
If this is your first time using CaFÉ, click Artist Sign Up and complete the free registration form. Registration is required to apply to a call for entry.
Existing CaFÉ users proceed to Login, and apply to a call for entry. If you do not remember your password, use the forgot password link.
Complete the next steps to submit:
Pay online. Credit Card, PayPal, or a check made payable to Pennsylvania Watercolor Society may be sent to: PA Watercolor Society c/o Pam Wenger, 75 Longwood Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
SALES
Paintings may be marked for sale or not for sale. If someone expresses interest in purchasing a painting displayed in the Members Online Show, PWS will contact the artist and provide the prospective buyer’s contact information. It is the responsibility of the individual artist to pursue and finalize any sale. PWS will charge no commission on sales made through the show. If a sale is completed, PWS must be notified so the painting can be marked as sold on the website.

JUROR OF AWARDS - Kim Johnson

Kim earned a degree in Psychology before her lifelong passion for the creative process led her to pursue painting full-time. She continues to teach watercolor and drawing locally and in workshops throughout the United States.
Kim’s early landscape studies brought her initial recognition, but her evolution into human, animal, and seascape subjects has resulted in twenty consecutive years as an award-winning artist. Her work has been selected for publication in Splash 13: Alternative Approaches, Splash 14: Light and Color, Splash 16: Exploring Texture, and Splash 17: Inspiring Subjects; The Art of Watercolor Magazine (21st issue); Pratique des Arts Magazine (No. 133); and Art Journey Animals: A Collection of Inspiring Contemporary Masterworks (North Light Books).
She holds Signature Memberships in the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, San Diego Watercolor Society, Watercolor West, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, and the Arizona Watercolor Association.
